Hi! I'm Nicole!
Wife | Momma | Believer
Nicole Domitro is a Chicago mom who runs on a little bit of coffee and a whole lot of Jesus. She has a heart for sharing the beauty & chaos of motherhood, is vulnerable and humble in her pursuit of health & fitness, and loves encouraging others through faith & mentor-ship.
I believe you must bring your whole self to the table if you want to thrive in today’s crazy world; your personality, your sense of humor, and most importantly, your heart. All of these elements brought me to found Anchored by Hope back in 2016. Since then, I have learned a lot about myself and my calling.
Both Chicago natives, my husband and I were married in early 2016, after being together for nearly ten years, and had our first born boy, Andy, shortly after in November. Thus began one of the greatest (and hardest) adventures I have ever experienced; motherhood.
We welcomed our rainbow baby in February of 2019, a beautiful little girl named Emma. And now we are learning to navigate the beauty and chaos of this life that we have created.
I have a heart for sharing the trials and triumphs of motherhood. I believe that community is essential for all moms and that it helps to hear from others who are in the thick of the journey with you. Motherhood community is where I have learned the most, grown incredibly, and created friendships that will last a lifetime.
I have a passion for health and fitness. A former personal trainer, my husband taught me all I know about exercise and nutrition. But after birthing babies and experiencing miscarriage, I fear the scale more than decaf, and I am currently on a quest to learn how to love myself and this new body that is capable of amazing things (like creating tiny hunans).
While I fail almost everyday at basically everything, my joy is found through faith in Jesus. It wasn’t until I was 24 that I began a personal relationship with my faith and have since experienced the greatest hope I never knew existed. I love sharing my story with others and am so thankful I get to bring up my children to know all I never did.
In the rare moments I am not chasing a toddler, strolling Target, attempting to conquer the never ending loads of laundry, and bustling onto our bible study or play date, you can find me curled up with a mystery novel, watching dateline, or silently sipping a cup of coffee while soaking in some scripture.
So, I invite you to join me with a cup of coffee (or wine) and explore my site, learn about my passions, and explore what excites and interests you as well as we create a community where moms can hang out and be encouraged in our journey.
